Someone else has to be able to mark the talk
The communication studio trains a short teach-back: claim, source, limit, remaining human job. The listener holds a red pen and marks only those four. Style, accent, and slide polish are out of scope. If the listener cannot find the limit, the talk failed even if it sounded confident.
Students work in pairs. One speaks with the interface closed. One records the four marks. Then they swap. A recording is optional and only with consent; the required artifact is the marked sheet. HNK will not treat a generated script read aloud as a teach-back.
- Ninety seconds is enough if the four parts exist.
- The limit must be a condition, not an apology.
- The human job must be a decision, not a vibe.
Schools that want this studio as a module should write info@hnk.org with the year group and whether the teach-back is oral, written, or both.
