The reader
This page is a comparison drill. It assumes the student already wrote a closed-interface card. If they have not, stop and go to explanation-before-tools. Comparing nothing with a generated essay trains taste for polish, not knowledge.
The drill
Print or paste both texts. Do not mix them. On the generated text, circle: claims without sources, limits that were skipped, duties that were assigned to “the AI,” and words the student cannot define. On the human card, circle: hedges that are actually empty, missing sources, and any line that was secretly generated.
Keep both marked copies. The evidence is the pair. Deleting the generated text after it “helped” destroys the audit trail.
What “human knowledge” means on this site
It means a person can still speak the idea, name a source or a gap, name a limit, and name a remaining duty. It does not mean a romantic rejection of tools. Tools may appear as specimens. They do not get authorship.
A false peace
Students sometimes merge the two texts until the seams disappear. That merge is the failure. The point of the drill is the seam. If a later reader cannot tell which lines were generated, the folder is incomplete — even if the prose is prettier.
